eKOL Product Suite Launched by Clinical InfoNet
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Sept. 9 -- Responding to the unique communicational requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, Clinical Information Network today announced that a series of new product offerings will be launched in October.
"In additional to our existing state-of-the-art, highly secure videoconferencing network connecting physicians, pharmaceutical companies, and other healthcare providers, Clinical Information Network's new lineup of product and service offerings will provide each of those groups with a comprehensive array of additional powerful meeting and educational communication tools," commented Peter Moriarty, Chairman and CEO of Clinical Information Network, Inc.
Earlier this year, Clinical Information Network, launched Clinical InfoNet, the first state-of-the-art, videoconferencing network established specifically to video-enable physicians and pharmaceutical sales and medical professionals. It enables both one-on-one onscreen face-to-face meetings, and multi-person meetings of groups of up to 10 people, where they can all see and speak with each other onscreen while viewing graphic visual images, presentations, and data.
"Headlining our new product introductions," Moriarty stated, "are a pair of eKOL (Key Opinion Leader) services".
"The first new product is an extension of the highly effective Clinical InfoNet videoconferencing network, featuring a moderator and up to six physicians. This format resembles the small, intimate dinner meetings, but at a savings of both time and money. The KOL has the capability to present and share visual materials, images, and data jointly viewed by the physician audience. This is a real-time, live, full audio and video experience for everyone" Moriarty said.
"Our second KOL offering", added Patrick Snodgrass, vice president of technical operations, "allows for much larger meetings with up to 49 physician participants plus the KOL."
"Like our 'smaller meeting' service, this second product allows the leader to present and share supporting visual materials for view, in real-time, by the physicians while each participant can see the leader's live, real-time image on their PC screens. However, unlike the premier package, all audio communications are conducted through Clinical InfoNet's toll-free telephone gateway. So while in real-time, no software download is required by the participating physicians. All the physician has to do is 'click to connect' and the leader will share the visual materials on screen.," Snodgrass stated "and they don't need a web camera or microphone".
"Our next product, 'Clinical InfoClick'," Moriarty continued, "allows a physician and pharmaceutical video sales representative to have a two-way, live discussion while the physician is able to see and speak with the representative whose real-time, live image is on the physician's computer screen. The physician will not have to download any software or use a camera or microphone."
"All a targeted physician has to do is click on an Internet link, and call a toll-free number via the Clinical InfoNet telephone gateway to immediately engage in a live discussion with a pharma video rep. The video rep, whose live, real-time image is seen on the PC screen by the physician, is able to present and share supporting visual materials with the physician."
"Its simple to use, and our pricing is straight forward", Moriarty emphasized.
"Our final new product offering," Snodgrass concluded, "is 'Educational Videos-on-Demand'. These easily readily accessible educational and promotional videos are made available to targeted physicians and other healthcare providers through the Clinical InfoNet user interface, the Clinical InfoNet portal, and a number of other entryways. These communications are extremely accessible with 24/7/365 availability."
"We know that the adoption of innovative alternative channels of communication is of growing importance to the U.S. pharmaceutical industry. That was the impetus for Clinical Information Network's development initiatives", Moriarty stated.
"We now have a comprehensive array of products and services aimed at assisting pharmaceutical companies communicating and building relationships with the increasingly busy physician population by catering to the physicians' needs for convenience and control over the time and place that they obtain this information" he concluded.
