Frequently Asked Questions
How do I sign-up to become a member of this Network?
Go to the Signup navigation tab on our website and complete the form
What is my obligation?
You are asked to initiate two video detailing sessions each week with different pharmaceutical companies. No session will last longer than five minutes unless you request to extend it.
What happens if I do not initiate and participate in two video detailing sessions per week?
Obviously, we realize under certain circumstances, you will be so busy that you will forget to initiate your calls. However, if this practice continues, we will probably contact you to inquire if you have a problem with your Clinical InfoNet system, or some other issue requiring our assistance. However, if, for any reasons, you do not want to participate in the Network and fulfill your weekly calls, we will consider the agreement terminated, and you will return the equipment through “normal” service at your own expense.
What happens if the video rep goes over five minutes?
If the video detailing call with the pharmaceutical representative starts to exceed five-minutes, the rep fully understands that you will be entitled to ask them to finish the call at that point. The representatives are trained to appreciate your time is extremely valuable, and that they must not abuse it.
When will I receive my camera and microphone?
Using UPS ground service, it can take up to one-week for the web camera, microphone, and installation software to be received by you. If you provided your email address upon membership sign-up as requested, UPS will generate an email to you with full tracking information.
How do I get the videoconferencing software?
In addition to receiving the web camera and microphone, you’ll receive a welcome letter with instruction for installation and obtaining the videoconferencing software.
How do I get the free videoconferencing software for Family&Friends?
You will be asked to provide the name and email address of up to two people you desire to receive the free versions of our videoconferencing software in the Family&Friends program. We will then communicate with each of them so that they too can download the software from our website.
How do I let you know who I want those other two users to be?
You will be asked to email that information to Support@ClinicalinfoNet.com
Do you supply Family&Friends users with a free camera and microphone?
No, we do not supply them a free camera and microphone, only the videoconferencing software. Camera and microphones can be purchased at popular, retail electronic specialty stores and variety stores.
Is there a limit on the number of videoconferencing minutes that I can use each month?
No. Minutes are unlimited, and free of charge.
Am I limited to downloading the videoconferencing software to just one PC?
No. You may download our software to as many PCs as you wish.

system.
What does AES stand for?
Advanced Encryption Standard
Do I have the ability to call other physicians with this system?
Yes. You certainly do have that ability. In fact, we would
like to encourage you to form your own network of physician colleagues
with whom you freely communicate via the Clinical InfoNet system.
How many people can I meet with on the system during a Videoconference?
Clinical InfoNet currently enables up to a total of ten participants to
be live, onscreen at the same time, in Hollywood Squares style, with
all being able to see and speak together just as if they were in the
same room.
Can I share any documents or images with another user?
Yes. Clinical InfoNet enables you to share documents, visuals,
and other materials with the other person or persons participating in
the video call. You will learn how to use this during the live,
online training session referred to above.
Can other people see me in my office or home when the camera is on?
Other participants can only see you if you either initiate a video call
to them or you actually click the “accept” button to agree
to take a call from them. Furthermore, even during a video call,
you have the ability to mute the camera and, additionally, if you so
wish you can mute the microphone or the speakers.
What happens if someone else calls me on the video system while I am participating in a video call with someone else?
You then have the choice to either put the first video call on hold
while you meet with the second caller or you could allow that second
caller to join you and the other person with you are already engaged in
a video call.
You will be trained on how to use these features during the live, online training session referred to above.
How do I make a call to a pharmaceutical company representative?
You have a few choices as to how you actually initiate a call.
The first, is by clicking on the Services Directory for that video
representative’s company, and then double clicking to initiate
the video call. The second is to double click on that
representative’s name if stored in your “Contacts”
list within the onscreen User Interface for Clinical InfoNet. The
third is to click on the green telephone receiver icon (sign) which is
the third icon from the right at the bottom of the User
Interface. In all three of these methods of calling, you will see
confirmation on the User Interface indicating the name of the person to
whom the call is in the process of being made.
How do I know when a call is coming in?
You will here a ringing sound, and see a “dialog box”
onscreen indicating who it is that is calling you. You will have
the choice to either accept or reject the call.
What should I do if I don't want to accept an incoming call?
All you need to do is to click on the “Reject” button.
What does the other person see if I reject their call?
The other person will see a message that says you are busy at this time, and suggesting that they try you again later.
How do I get the free videoconferencing software for the other two users?
You will be asked to provide us with the name and email address of the
persons to whom you wish us to issue the free versions of our
videoconferencing software. We will then issue each of them with
a User Identification and Password so that they too can download the
software from our website.
How do I let you know who I want those other two users to be?
You will be asked to email or fax that information to us.
Do you supply those other two users with a free camera and microphone?
No, we do not.
Do the persons
to whom I give the two additional free video conferencing software
licenses have to have a camera in order for me to communicate with them?
That is the ideal. However, they could download the software, and
provided that they had a microphone, you and they would be able to
communicate with each other. Obviously, if they do not install a
camera, they will be able to see and speak with you but you will not be
able to see them.
Is there a limit
on the number of videoconferencing minutes that my family, friends or
anyone that I give the other software to can use each month?
No. Minutes are unlimited, and free of charge.
